Stirling Districts is dedicated to providing inclusive and competitive opportunities for women and girls in the Adelaide Hills, with teams for U17, and U13 girls in the AHJFA competition and senior women in the FFSA’s State League competition.

Women’s training sessions take place every Tuesday and Thursday at Bradwood Park, starting at 6:00pm.

Coaches Statement

My coaching philosophy entails two parts. Firstly, I strive to empower all players under my guidance to become the best version of themselves both on and off the pitch. Technical and tactical ability are naturally very important in the development of any sports player, however the way one conducts themselves when interacting with teammates, opposition and the broader public are just as integral to the development of the professional athlete.

Secondly, I aim to create an environment that balances pushing players to new heights while also maintaining an atmosphere of fun and engagement. While working hard and maintaining set standards, all players must feel comfortable to express themselves, try new things and bond with their team. A team which does not function as such and instead plays as a group of individuals will never reach the same heights. Consequently, creating a close-knit team that plays for each other and works as a unit is of huge importance to me and is something that I continually seek to develop and reinforce within my players.

– Jordan Higgins, Senior Women’s Coach

About the Club

Football is now one of the leading team sports played by girls and women in Australia with over 25% of all football players being female with that number continuing to rise. Stirling Districts currently matches that 25% ratio of female players across our junior and senior teams but is confident of exceeding this number over the next few years. With our continued push for new players and a goal to establish a second women’s team as soon as possible, we hope to increase the number of women participating in community sport even further with every season that passes.

Whether you are returning to play football after a few years hiatus or are a talented young gun keen to make a name for yourself, Stirling Districts is the club for you! Under the guidance of our passionate and energetic coaching team you will find yourself making lifelong friends, progressing your footballing ability and helping the club add another chapter in its long and successful history.
