Club Trivia
- Stirling District were originally Bridgewater Soccer Club and they were formed in 1967 – one year after the South Australian Amateur Soccer League (SAASL) was established.
- The club has gone through several name changes. After Bridgewater Soccer Club came Hills District United Soccer Club, then Woodside Soccer Club.
- In 1990, Woodside Soccer Club amalgamated with Heathfield Rovers Soccer Club to form Stirling District Soccer Club.
- The club’s highest League goalscorer is Frank Schoof who scored 105 goals in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s
- Stirling’s highest winning margin in a competitive game is a 20-0 victory versus Southern Breakers in a Saturday Division 2 League game on 13th April 2002. The scorers were Nick Briggs, Alexis Burrett (3), Alan Evans (3), Simon Firth, David Grant, Charles Holding (10) and David Natale. Four months later, on 24th August, the club recorded its second highest winning margin with a 19-0 win over Mount Barker Utd. The scorers that day were Nick Briggs (3), Alexis Burrett, David Grant, Charles Holding (5), John Kane, Wayne Moore (2), David Natale, Scott Sillence, Phil Yeardley (3(1pen)) and Adam Zaccaria
- The most goals scored by an individual in any one game is 10 – by Charles Holding versus Southern Breakers on 13th April 2002.
- Stirling have won six League titles – the ‘A’ Grade Saturday Division 2 competition in Season 1999 and 2002, the ‘A’ Grade Saturday Division 2 competition in 2004 and the ‘Reserve’ Grade Saturday Division 1 title in 2007, 2009 and Division 2 title in 2002. They have also been Runners Up on three occasions: The ‘A’ Grade in 1978 and 1983 and the ‘Reserve Grade Saturday Division 1 in 2006.
- The furthest in the Cup competition the club has been is a Semi Finals appearance in the 2005 season.
- Stirling’s lowest League scoring tally for the year was 7 in 1995. The most League goals in one season is 113 in 2002.
- Stirling’s lowest League points tally is 1 in 1995. The most League points the club has gained in one season is 53 during the championship winning 1999 season.
- The 1990 season was the only year the club went through a League season without a draw.
